Sale Deed(ಮಾರಾಟ ಪತ್ರ)
The principal legal instrument for transferring ownership of immovable property from seller to buyer. Under Section 54 of the Transfer of Property Act, 1882, a sale of immovable property above ₹100 in value can only be made by a registered instrument. The sale deed must be registered at the SRO having jurisdiction over the property.
