Khata(ಖಾತಾ)
A property assessment register maintained by the urban local body (BBMP in Bengaluru) under the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976. The Khata records the property owner's name for tax assessment purposes. It comprises the Khata Certificate (ownership extract) and Khata Extract (assessment details).
